The case
The patient had lost a lower molar and had been chewing on one side for years. Bone volume was still sufficient, but the neighbouring teeth were starting to tilt into the gap.

What we did
Panoramic X-ray and bone assessment, titanium implant placed under local anaesthetic, four months of osseointegration with monthly checks, then an intraoral scan and a custom porcelain crown.

Outcome
They chew on both sides again. The crown matches the neighbouring teeth in shape and colour, and the implant is reviewed once a year.
